MED-PASS respects the privacy of its customers and is committed to protecting their personal
information from misuse. This Privacy Policy addresses the information we collect and how it is
used. This Privacy Policy applies to med-pass.com and heaton.org (collectively the “Sites”).
The Sites are not intended for the use of children under the age of 13. If you are under 13,
please do not provide any personal information on the Sites.
|
|
What information do we collect on the Sites?
We collect both personal information and aggregated information on the Sites.
|
|
Personal Information
You do not have to provide personal information to use any of the Sites. However,
particular services provided through the Sites may require that you furnish personal
information. We collect such personal information only when you provide it to us -
for example, registering to receive electronic product updates, requesting samples,
product catalogs or samples, purchasing items from our stores; and taking part in
promotional opportunities. You may be asked to provide your contact information (such
as your name, postal address, telephone numbers and/or email address), financial
information (such as credit card numbers) and demographic information (such as your
Zip code, or healthcare practice setting) in connection with your use of such services.
Contact information is used to respond to your inquiries; to notify you if you have
won a promotional contest and to send products and services ordered from the Sites.
You also may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and
services, updates to the Sites or upcoming events.
We do not share, sell or make public any personal information provided to meet
registration/sign-in requirements nor do we share, sell, or make public any personal
information as pertains to product purchases, information requests, sample or products
preview requests.
We use IP addresses to calculate website usage levels. Whenever you are on the Internet,
a number (an IP address) is automatically assigned to your computer. This number is
identified and logged automatically whenever you visit the Sites. Collecting IP
addresses is standard practice on the Internet, and is done automatically by many websites.
Whenever we request your personal information on the Sites, to the extent that we
intend to use it in a manner not disclosed in this Privacy Policy, we will try to explain
to you how we intend to use it, and to provide you with a choice to decline certain uses.
Please note that by entering any contest you consent to our announcing your name and
home town as part of any list of winners.
We may also disclose personal information if we believe that we are required to do so
(i) by law, (ii) to comply with legal process or governmental requests, (iii) to enforce
our Terms and Conditions of Use or (iv) to protect the rights,
property, or safety of MED-PASS and Heaton Resources, its users or the public.

HIPAA
MED-PASS is committed to abiding by the HIPAA regulations as they may pertain to the purchase
and shipment of products. Information regarding a product purchased and the business entity
or individual to which/whom it is shipped is held in strict confidence.
|
|
Service Providers
We collect information through the Sites relating to traffic levels on the Sites - for example,
the total number of users visiting particular pages. We also collect and analyze aggregate demographic
information relating to the search functionality on the Sites. Aggregated information is helpful to
us for improving the services we offer and for marketing purposes. We may share aggregated
information, which does not personally identify you, with our business partners, or other companies.

Use of Cookies/Logged Files
Cookies, or logged files, are data that a website transfers to an individual's computer for record
keeping purposes. Cookies, which are an industry standard used by most websites, can facilitate
a user's ongoing access to and use of a site. Cookies do not cause damage to your computer systems
or files.
We use a temporary cookie to track the products you have chosen to purchase while shopping on the Sites.
The cookie expires once you are done shopping. The cookie saves you the trouble of entering information
over and over again during a single visit. In addition, from time to time, we may use cookies and
other technologies to gather non-personally identifiable information to track the popularity of
certain pages of the Sites to improve the Sites and related services.
If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure
in most browsers that allows you to automatically decline cookies, or to be given the choice of
declining or accepting the transfer of a cookie to your computer. You should note, however, that
declining the cookies may make it difficult for you to make purchases on the Sites.

|
Security
We have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the
information under our control. Any time we ask for a credit card number we transmit that credit
card number in an encrypted format. We use industry-standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a
result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the
security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and
you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to
ensure its security on our systems.

Links to Third Party Sites
The Sites may contain links to third-party websites. The linked websites are not under the control
of MED-PASS, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the contents of any linked site,
or any link contained in a linked site. We are providing these links only as a convenience, and the
inclusion of a link on the Sites does not imply endorsement of the linked site by MED-PASS.
|
|
Assignment
We reserve the right to transfer any and all information that we collect from users of the Websites
to a third party in the event that we sell or transfer substantially all of our assets related to
the Websites to such third party.
|
|
Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect
or maintain information at these Sites from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our
Sites are structured to attract anyone under 13. In addition, individuals under 18 should consult
with their parent or guardian about the use of these Sites for their benefit.
