The Operational Policy and Procedure Manual (OPPM) is a cost-effective tool for keeping your facility current with OBRA regulations and supporting regulatory compliance.

To make this manual easier to use and simpler to update, it was extensively revised and streamlined down to three volumes of policies and procedures plus the Facility Guide to OBRA Regulations and the Long-Term Care Survey Process.

The structure utilized enables Administrators to capitalize on their role on the interdisciplinary team. Within each chapter, policies are organized by topic and provide guidance, explanation and structure to help Administrators manage responsibilities and situations.

Since the manual was first written, the nature of long-term care has changed:

  • LTC facilities now care for many residents with multiple, complex conditions
  • Regulatory oversight has expanded and facilities are accountable for the clinical outcomes of their residents.
