| DEA Requests Feedback on LTCFs Controlled Substance Medication Issue

The DEA has requested public feedback regarding regulations concerning controlled substance medications ordering/dispensing in long-term care. This could be just the first step in a long process. Meanwhile vigorous, on-going DEA enforcement actions continue and we continue to hear from pharmacies that their client LTCFs have been slow to understand and appreciate the potential impact of this issue on their ability to care for residents, especially those in pain.
